My name is Adrienne Wilder and I was born and raised in Georgia and I’ve been writing and drawing since I could hold a crayon. My first dragon crush was Pete’s Dragon. I was three, and he was, well, a cartoon. But I was hooked – a dragonholic. I moved on to bigger, badder, scarier beasties. The story that became City of Dragons took root in my own personal hatching ground – high school – and grew into the story it is today.
I love bringing characters to life. I’m trained as an artist (and you’ll see some your favorite Kin here), but writing is my passion. I don’t have nearly enough phobias or eccentricities to make it as an artist. I’m a Dark Urban Fantasy writer, and my stories have a strong romantic/erotic element. Romance is a natural part of life, but the story always comes first. Mostly I enjoy blowing things up, setting things on fire, and having random characters eaten alive. In my books, I mean.
Dahlonega, Georgia is my home and I’m hard at work on new novels featuring the Kin, the Lesser Breds, the Humans and the rest of the residents of Atlanta, Georgia. Lesser Bred: Stained is currently being presented to agents and publishers, and it has a sequel as well – Lesser Bred: Marked. Another story, I Belong, features the world of Kin and their Links and is a work in progress.
Enjoy your time in the City of Dragons, and remember: don’t wander into the Gray Zone after dark.
